At White Smiles Dental Group, we offer Canoga Park implants to all of our patients wishing to enhance their smiles again. Our practice caters to families and patients of all ages, and is dedicated to providing the best in cosmetic, aesthetic, restorative and dentistry. Our implants are made from the highest quality titanium and implanted in a short and painless procedure that many patients find convenient and easy. We also provide advanced restorative services, including procedures to install crowns, veneers, onlays and bridges.
When teeth have been extracted or are missing, dental implants can be a great way to restore your smile. An implant is made from titanium, a hard and durable metal that is used as a root in order to replace the natural root of a tooth. Implants are first surgically implanted into the bone of the jaw in a short procedure. After the implantation, a healing period is given, after which an artificial tooth is placed over it. The tooth colored crown is cemented over the implant so that it blends in perfectly with other teeth, and the titanium root so strong that it becomes stronger than even a natural root. This provides a stable and very durable tooth. Most implants never again need fillings or root canals afterwards. Your Canoga Park implants will be done in our offices, with subsequent checkups in the following months to ensure the implant is healing properly.
Canoga Park implants may also be used to anchor dentures and to fix removable partials. This allows for a more natural looking smile and to bridge gaps where missing teeth lay. Before the procedure, we’ll ask you to come in for an oral exam to ensure that you’re a good candidate for implants. Our initial oral exam includes a screening for oral cancer, periodontal evaluation, a bite occlusion analysis and a thorough analysis of the teeth’s supporting structures. We educate all of our patients as well on the necessities of a good oral hygiene program. We encourage the practice of proper daily brushing and flossing standards as well to ward off tooth decay and to keep teeth clean and healthy.
